To begin, meet with a College of Education advisor and declare an education minor.
Course requirements:
- EDCI 3311 – School and Society (3 sem. hrs.)
- READ 3353 – Content Area Reading for Secondary Students (3 sem. hrs.)
- ETEC 3310 – Technology Applications for Teachers (3 sem. hrs.)
Choose one from the following two courses: - EDCI 4606* – Planning, Teaching, Assessment and Technology for Grades 8-12 Teachers (6 sem. hrs.)
- EDCI 4607* – Planning, Teaching, Assessment and Technology for Grades 4-8 Teachers (6 sem. hrs.)
Choose one from the following two courses: - EDCI 4322 – Instructional Design for Special Populations: Grades 8-12 (3 sem. hrs.)
- EDCI 4323 – Instructional Design for Special Populations: Grades 4-8 (3 sem. hrs.)
* EDCI 4606 and 4607 require a criminal background check and TB screening.
